Fundamentals

What is software testing?

Take a cold-storage receipt and loan app used by chilli growers. A tester checks that the loan never exceeds the allowed share of the crop’s value, that rent is charged for the right months, that a receipt pledged to one bank cannot be pledged again, and that the app copes when hundreds of farmers release stock on the same morning.

Work out which failures would hurt farmers or the business most, write clear test cases, run them manually or by script, save evidence when they fail, and retest after the fix. Financial apps also need security, performance and data-accuracy testing.

What is the duration of the course?

Six months: 100+ live classes, about 165 hours, in a weekday or weekend batch.

What is the fee?

₹17,500 + 18% GST = ₹20,650, the same as a Noida classroom learner. Six monthly instalments of ₹3,442*.

Is there an Uncodemy centre in Guntur?

No. Classrooms are only in Noida and Delhi. Guntur learners attend the same batches live online, with the same trainers, syllabus and fee.

Can I learn without a coding background?

Yes. Modules 1–4 involve no programming (testing basics, manual design, Agile, SQL). Coding starts from scratch in Module 5.

Manual or automation testing first?

Manual first. Automated tests only repeat the tests you design, so test design comes first.

Selenium or Playwright?

You learn both, 15 hours each. Service companies often use Selenium; many product companies now prefer Playwright.

Does the course include API testing?

Yes — 24 hours: Postman and REST in Module 8, automated API and integration tests with token login in Module 9.

Will AI replace software testers?

No. AI changes what testers spend time on, but a person must decide whether a passing test means anything and approve the release.

Is this course ISTQB certified?

No, it is an Uncodemy certificate. Modules 1–2 cover much of the ISTQB Foundation Level; booking that exam is your own decision.

What is the salary of a software tester in Guntur?
