Software Testing Course Syllabus in Solapur
Think of the 165 hours as thirteen stations on a grading line, ordered as a tester's work widens: hand checks, database queries, browser scripts, service tests, AI support and pipelines. A lab closes each station, and the thirteenth hands you the whole traceability system.
Module 1: Software Testing Fundamentals & SDLC/STLC — 10 Hours
Module 1 opens with a rejected container. A packhouse near Sangola cleared a pomegranate lot for Europe although one residue reading exceeded its limit: the software compared numbers as text, so "0.15" sorted below "0.2". From that single bug the module unpacks why testing exists, testing's seven principles, how a data-type slip turns into an export loss, how Waterfall, V-Model and Agile teams each schedule their work, and which STLC phase lines up with which test level.
Module 2: Manual Testing, Test Cases & Bug Reporting — 12 Hours
Module 2 drills design technique on grower, lab and packhouse screens. Edges to probe: each chemical's residue limit, how many days a lab report stays valid, the minimum fruit grade and lot weight. Classes to partition: crops, destination markets, labs, farmer groups and single growers. Decision tables weigh residue result against report age and market rules, and a state diagram tracks a lot through registered, sampled, tested, cleared, blocked and shipped. Exploratory charters, smoke and sanity passes and regression loops close the module, each bug tagged for severity and priority.
Module 3: Agile, Scrum & Test Management — 8 Hours
Module 3 drops you into an agri-tech Scrum squad: a planning session every fortnight, ten-minute morning syncs, a demo to an exporter and a retro, and no story marked done until its criteria are green. You build the Jira board and draft a plan that ranks residue logic and lot integrity far above cosmetic issues.
Module 4: SQL & Database Testing — 10 Hours
Module 4 puts SQL to work on farms, plots, lots, lab reports and shipments. Table design and constraints come first; queries that filter, order, total, join and nest follow, either to manufacture a believable season of data or to show that no blocked lot ever slipped onto a shipment.
Module 5: Programming Fundamentals with Python or Java — 15 Hours
Module 5 is programming from the first line in Python or Java: values, branching, repetition, functions, objects, inheritance and error handling. You finish by writing a loader for lot and residue rows in CSV, JSON or Excel, so one test sweeps an entire packhouse day.
Module 6: Selenium WebDriver & Automation Fundamentals — 15 Hours
Module 6 takes Selenium WebDriver into the exporter console. Fields are located through IDs, CSS paths and XPath; waits depend on conditions, not the clock; alerts, iframes and second tabs are tamed; crops and markets are chosen from lists; long lot grids are read. The checks are then grouped into PyTest or TestNG suites runnable on any mainstream browser.
Module 7: Playwright Automation with JavaScript/TypeScript — 15 Hours
Module 7 teaches TypeScript just far enough to use Playwright well: role- and label-based locators, self-retrying expectations, fixtures, a sign-in captured once, a lab-report service deliberately broken, PDF and spray-diary uploads, sharded runs and debugging through traces.
Module 8: API Testing with Postman & REST APIs — 12 Hours
Module 8 explores the REST services underneath: GET, POST, PUT and DELETE, endpoint paths, headers, response codes and JSON payloads, practised in Postman with grouped requests, per-environment variables, token access and contract assertions.
Module 9: API Automation & Integration Testing — 12 Hours
Module 9 codes what Postman did by hand. Responses are asserted one by one; a lot ID is threaded through register, attach-report, clear and ship; expired tokens are refreshed in code; inputs come from data files. A closing integration check follows a lot from the endpoint through a stubbed lab service into the database, scheduled with the browser tests every night.
Module 10: GenAI for Test Case Generation & Test Data — 10 Hours
Module 10: a new destination tightens the limits on two chemicals, and you test the change alongside a generative model. It drafts scenarios, odd cases and imaginary farms; you referee the draft, catching gaps and errors, and learn why real growers' names, Aadhaar numbers and land records must never be typed into a public chatbot.
Module 11: AI-Assisted Automation, Debugging & Test Maintenance — 12 Hours
Module 11 makes ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot your pair-programmers: Copilot fills in test bodies, ChatGPT untangles stack traces and unfamiliar functions, and both suggest sturdier selectors. You execute every line on your own machine and must be able to defend it before it enters the repository.
Module 12: Framework Design, Git, CI/CD & Test Reporting — 14 Hours
Module 12 re-engineers the scripts into an organised framework: page classes, test data held in files, branch-and-review Git habits, a Jenkins build triggered per commit, and Allure summaries an exporter can scan in a minute.
Module 13: End-to-End Testing Project & Capstone — 20 Hours
Module 13, the 20-hour capstone, makes you the sole QA owner of the traceability system: you draft its plan, run every case, script the grower, lab and packhouse screens plus the APIs, and make each GitHub push start a Jenkins build. Final hours go to job readiness: a tighter CV and LinkedIn, a ten-minute walkthrough of your work and practice interview panels.
