Aptitude practice for placement tests

Quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and verbal ability, the three sections of almost every fresher hiring test. Practise topic by topic with a worked explanation after every answer, then take a timed mock to see where you stand.

Questions students ask

How much aptitude is in placement tests?

Most fresher hiring tests (TCS NQT, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini) open with a cognitive section of quant, reasoning and verbal ability. Clearing its cut-off is usually what decides whether your coding round gets evaluated at all.

How long should I spend per question?

About a minute on average. The mock gives you 25 minutes for 20 questions. If a question takes more than two minutes, mark it, move on, and come back if time is left.

Is there negative marking?

It depends on the company and the year. Most fresher tests have had no negative marking recently, but always read the test instructions. This mock has none, so attempt every question.

Which topics come up most?

Percentages, profit and loss, time and work, speed and distance, number series, coding-decoding, blood relations, and grammar-based verbal questions appear in almost every test. Start there.
