Module 1 opens on a busy Sunday at Murthal. Two counters print the same token number, a family waits forty minutes for parathas already served to someone else, and the kitchen screen shows the order as done. Cause: two print requests hit the server in the same second and both took the next number. From there: why testing matters, the seven principles, error versus defect versus failure, Waterfall, V-Model and Agile, and how STLC stages map to unit, integration, system and acceptance testing.

Module 2 is design practice on the order and billing screens. Boundaries: delivery radius, minimum order value, discount caps and closing time. Equivalence classes: dine-in, takeaway and delivery; cash, card and UPI; menu categories. Decision table: discount stacking, GST and service-charge rules. State chart: an order moving from placed to accepted, cooking, ready, served or delivered, cancelled or refunded. After the design work you explore the screens, run smoke and sanity passes and repeat regression, labelling each defect by severity and priority.

Module 3: Scrum in a food-tech team. Sprint planning, stand-ups, a review with the restaurant owner, a retrospective; stories close only when acceptance criteria pass. You set up Jira (board, workflow, filters, dashboard) and a test plan that puts orders and money first.

Module 4: SQL on tables for tables, menu_items, orders, payments and deliveries. Keys and constraints, then WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, joins and subqueries, to create realistic order data or to prove that no token number was issued twice in a day.

Module 5: Python or Java from zero. Data types, if-else, loops, functions, classes, inheritance, exceptions. Final exercise: a loader for menu and order data in CSV, JSON or Excel, so one test can replay a whole Sunday.

Module 6: Selenium WebDriver on the owner's dashboard. Locators by ID, CSS and XPath, explicit waits, alerts, frames, child windows, menu and table drop-downs, long order tables, all organised as PyTest or TestNG suites across browsers.

Module 7: TypeScript basics, then Playwright. Role and text locators, auto-retrying assertions, fixtures, saved login, a payment gateway forced to fail, menu-photo uploads, parallel runs, trace viewer.

Module 8 looks at the REST APIs underneath the app: request methods, URLs, headers, response codes and JSON, followed by hands-on Postman work with collections, environment variables, token login and response validation.

Module 9: Postman checks rewritten as code. Response assertions, an order ID passed from cart to payment to kitchen calls, automatic token refresh, data from files. An integration test sends one order through the API, a mocked payment service and the database, scheduled with the UI tests.

Module 10: the restaurant adds a weekday lunch combo, and Gen AI helps test it. You prompt for scenarios, corner cases and sample orders, then fix what it missed, and learn why customers' phone numbers, addresses and card details must never go into a public AI tool.

Module 11: ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot as coding helpers. Copilot suggests test methods, ChatGPT explains errors and old code, both help fix flaky locators. You run and understand every suggestion before committing.

Module 12: scripts become a framework. Page objects, external test data, reviewed merges, Jenkins on every commit, Allure reports the owner can read.

Module 13, capstone (20 hours): you own the ordering app's quality. Test plan, execution, UI and API automation, Jenkins linked to GitHub. Then job prep: CV and LinkedIn, a short project demo, mock interviews.

It is Uncodemy's own certificate. The syllabus of Modules 1–2 closely follows ISTQB Foundation, a credential several NCR firms appreciate, but the ISTQB exam is a separate registration.
