Why you cannot download the audio
This tool uses the speech feature built into your browser. The voice plays straight through your speakers, and browsers do not give websites any way to capture that sound as a file. So there is no MP3 download here, and we would rather say that plainly than promise one. If you need an audio file, you will need a dedicated text to speech service or a screen recorder.
Which voices will you see?
The voice list comes from your device and browser, not from us, so it changes from one device to the next. Chrome and Edge often include extra online voices, while phones usually offer the voices installed in the system.
If you do not see a Hindi voice, your device may not have one. On most phones and computers you can add a Hindi voice in the language or speech settings, then reload this page. English voices may skip Hindi text or read it badly, so choose a Hindi voice for Hindi text. If no voices appear at all, try a recent version of Chrome or Edge.
Good ways to use read-aloud
- Proofreading. Your ears catch mistakes that your eyes skip. Try this with a cover letter before you send it.
- Learning. Listen to notes while you revise, or hear how a passage sounds in English.
- Interview practice. Listen to your introduction at a normal pace, then use the word counter to check how long it runs.
- Accessibility. Rest your eyes, or use it if reading on screen is difficult.
Long text is read in small pieces, because some browsers stop if one piece runs too long. Very short pauses between sentences are normal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I download the audio as MP3?

Yes, if your device has a Hindi voice. Hindi voices appear at the top of the list. If there is none, add one in your device's language settings.
