Adding Requests to Collections & Using Folders
Adding Requests to a Collection
Requests can be added to a collection either by saving a new request directly into it, or by dragging an existing request from elsewhere into the desired collection.
Using Folders Within Collections
Folders allow you to group related requests within a collection - for example, separating requests by feature, endpoint type, or workflow stage - making large collections easier to navigate.
Steps to Add a Folder
| Step | Description |
|---|---|
| 1. Right-click the Collection | Opens a context menu with folder options |
| 2. Select Add Folder | Creates a new folder inside the collection |
| 3. Name the Folder | Give it a clear, descriptive name |
| 4. Move Requests In | Drag requests into the folder to organize them |
Why Organization Matters
As the number of API requests grows, well-structured folders and collections make it far easier for individuals and teams to find, maintain, and reuse existing requests.
With requests neatly organized into collections and folders, you're ready to learn how to duplicate and share individual requests.
