Six months of live classes, real projects and a deposit-banking capstone. Manual, Selenium, Playwright, API and Gen AI — built for coastal Karnataka's banks and IT campuses.
Software Testing Course in Mangaluru with Gen AI: Manual, Selenium, Playwright & API Testing
Mangaluru has a banking pedigree few Indian cities can match: several of the country's well-known banks were born in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, and their technology and operations teams still keep the region busy. Add the IT and BPO campuses around Derebail, Kottara and the SEZ near the airport, the engineering talent from NITK Surathkal and Manipal, and a port, refinery and petrochemical belt running heavy ERP, and you have a coastal city with steady demand for software testers. Many local graduates still head to Bengaluru, but remote work means a growing number now join Bengaluru or overseas teams without leaving the coast. This course is built so you can do the same. The six months add up to more than 100 live classes and roughly 165 hours: requirement analysis, test cases, Jira and SQL first; then Python or Java, Selenium and Playwright, API checks in Postman and code; then Generative AI and a Jenkins pipeline. Your capstone is the fixed and recurring deposits module of an internet-banking platform, where a wrong maturity amount or interest payout is exactly the kind of bug Mangaluru's bankers lose sleep over. Uncodemy has no Mangaluru classroom; trainers from our Noida and Delhi branches teach you live. Fee: ₹17,500 plus 18% GST (₹20,650), in instalments from ₹3,442 a month if you prefer, with placement assistance included.

List of Placed Students Trained by Uncodemy
Learners who complete the testing track can judge the test effort a release needs, reconcile what the database holds using SQL, and automate checks across user interfaces and APIs. Every learner and recruiter on these cards comes from Uncodemy's placement records. Outcomes are individual, shaped by skill, interview performance, education and what each employer wanted. Role-wise data is on the placement page.
Software testing is how a team proves, with evidence, that an application behaves as customers and regulators expect, and catches where it does not before real money moves. Take the deposits module of a bank's internet-banking site. A tester confirms that a fixed deposit cannot be opened below the minimum amount or beyond the allowed tenure, that senior citizens automatically receive the extra interest, that the maturity figure on screen matches the bank's calculation to the rupee, that TDS is deducted only when interest crosses the threshold and Form 15G/H is not on file, and that premature closure applies the right penalty.
That rigour comes from habit. Decide where an error would cost customers or the bank most. Document each case so a colleague could run it. Execute it by hand or by script. When it fails, attach the screenshot, data and exact steps for a one-time fix, then retest. Testing runs from single functions through integrations and the full system to the customer's acceptance, and in banking it also covers audit trails, access control, data accuracy, performance and security, not just features. Agile teams fold this into each sprint and rerun automated suites on every commit.

What Does a Software Tester (QA Engineer) Do?
A tester's week at a Mangaluru bank's IT unit, a Derebail services firm or a Bengaluru team working remotely usually includes reviewing stories with developers and business analysts, preparing cases and data, checking each build, recording bugs in Jira with proof and retesting fixes. Automation specialists also maintain the test suites and pipelines that run on every commit.

Software Testing Course Syllabus in Mangaluru
Thirteen modules share the 165 hours, in the order a tester's responsibilities expand on the job: careful manual work, then database checks, UI scripts, API tests, AI help and finally CI. Each module ends with hands-on work, and the final one tests the whole deposits module of the banking platform.
Banking sets the scene. A senior citizen in Kadri opens a fixed deposit online, and the maturity amount on her receipt is lower than the brochure promised. Where did it go wrong, and who should have caught it? From that case you look at what testing is for, the seven principles that guide it, how one programming error turns into a defect and finally into an angry phone call to the branch, how Waterfall, the V-Model and Agile organise work, and where STLC phases meet the four test levels.
Deposit opening becomes the design exercise. Minimum amounts, tenure in days and months, and premature-closure windows set the boundaries; customer types (general, senior citizen, staff, NRI) form equivalence classes; interest and TDS rules fill a decision table; and a deposit's life from booked to active, renewed, prematurely closed or matured becomes a state chart. Exploratory, smoke, sanity and regression rounds then expose defects, each rated for severity and priority.
Module 3: Agile, Scrum & Test Management - 8 Hours
Testing inside a Scrum team: planning, stand-ups, review and retro, with stories accepted only when they meet their criteria and the team's Definition of Done. You configure Jira for the banking project (board, workflow, filters, dashboard) and test money-moving flows before anything cosmetic.
Module 4: SQL & Database Testing — 10 Hours
SQL on a customers, accounts, deposits and interest-postings schema. You define keys and constraints, then write filters, sorts, aggregates, joins and nested queries to load test customers and to prove each quarterly interest credit and TDS line matches the bank's rules.
Module 5: Programming Fundamentals with Python or Java — 15 Hours
First programming steps in Python or Java: data types, branching, loops, functions, classes, inheritance and error handling. The module ends with a utility that reads customer and deposit records from CSV, JSON and Excel, so one test can sweep through hundreds of accounts.
Selenium WebDriver drives the internet-banking pages. You locate fields through IDs, CSS selectors and XPath, wait sensibly, handle OTP pop-ups, iframes, extra windows, dropdowns and account statements, and group the tests with PyTest or TestNG for several browsers.
Module 7: Playwright Automation with JavaScript/TypeScript — 15 Hours
A short TypeScript primer, then Playwright: locators written around what a customer reads, assertions with built-in waiting, fixtures, a remembered session, a core-banking timeout you simulate on purpose, Form 15G uploads, parallel runs and failures traced step by step.
Module 8: API Testing with Postman & REST APIs — 12 Hours
Behind the deposit screens sits an API. You learn its HTTP verbs, routes, headers, response codes and JSON, and use Postman collections, environments, bearer tokens and schema validation to test it.
Module 9: API Automation & Integration Testing — 12 Hours
Your Postman checks become code: assertions on each response, an account number carried through a chain of calls, automatic token refresh and payloads from data files. Integration tests then book a deposit through the API, a simulated core-banking system and the database together, and you schedule them next to the UI suite.
Module 10: GenAI for Test Case Generation & Test Data — 10 Hours
A new special-tenure deposit scheme is handed to Gen AI. You ask which scenarios and edge cases it raises, have the model invent sample customers, then audit the answer for omissions and errors, and learn why account numbers and KYC details never belong in a public model.
ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot become pair-programmers: draft tests, cleaner refactors, explanations of inherited code, help reading stack traces and fixes for unstable locators. Every suggestion is executed and checked before you commit it.
Your scripts are rebuilt as a framework with page objects and separate data files, managed through Git pull requests, a Jenkins build on every push and Allure dashboards that QA, developers and auditors can all read.
Capstone: the deposits module is yours to test end to end, from a written plan and executed cases through UI and API scripts to a GitHub-triggered Jenkins job, then prepare to present it through CV and LinkedIn updates, a portfolio walkthrough and practice panels.

Introducing Uncodemy
Uncodemy Edutech Pvt. Ltd. began training IT professionals more than 14 years ago and has 54,000+ alumni. Mangaluru learners attend via the live feed from Noida (Sector 1) and Delhi (Shakarpur Extension) classrooms. The course keeps to the substance of QA: pin down what the requirement truly says, design checks that catch genuine defects, automate where the effort repays itself and report so that a developer, or an auditor, can follow every step.
What the placement team does, and does not do, is described in our placement eligibility conditions; please go through them before joining.
Portfolio review: Your trainer reviews every repository with you until it can hold up in a banking-tech technical round.
Resume & LinkedIn: CV and LinkedIn are rewritten around testing outcomes, with branch or operations experience framed as domain knowledge.
Interview preparation: Interview drills drawn from coastal and Bengaluru panels: test this screen, write this query, explain your framework, reason through this API.
Mock interviews: Mock interviews with trainers, each followed by written feedback.
Opportunity sharing: Openings from our 850+ hiring partners in Mangaluru, Bengaluru, remote or Gulf-client teams are passed on to you.
Continued support: Career help stays available after the course while you keep working at it; no one can guarantee a job.
How Mangaluru Learners Attend
Imagine finishing a day at a Hampankatta bank branch, reaching home in Bejai by seven, and joining the live batch at half past. You ask the trainer why a maturity-amount assertion keeps failing, share your screen so everyone sees the fix, then upload the assignment to the shared batch portal. Monsoon power cut? Catch the recording later. On any visit to NCR, ask your counsellor for a classroom day at Noida or Delhi; your trainer, syllabus and fee remain the same.
What a Typical Week Looks Like in Your Batch
Weekday groups on the coast get about an hour of class each day, weekend groups two long sittings. A typical week combines teaching and demos, a lab where your trainer checks your progress live and a slot set aside for questions. From Module 5, everything you build is committed to GitHub, and recordings appear the same evening.
Other Courses for Learners in Mangaluru
Besides this course, learners on the coast can enrol online in Automation Testing and in our analytics, data science, BA and full stack tracks. To sample the material, open the free manual testing syllabus or our post on how automation testers build their careers.
Instructors
Mangaluru batches are taught by QA engineers who still work in the field, drawn from Uncodemy's mentor pool of thirty-plus. Someone outside the teaching team verifies technical content, and a further person approves the curriculum. Experience details appear on each trainer card.

Software Testing Jobs & Career Scope in Mangaluru
Mangaluru's QA market draws on three strengths. First, banking: several major Indian banks have their roots in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, and banking, insurance and NBFC operations and technology teams remain a significant employer in the region, testing core banking, internet banking, payments and loan systems. Second, IT and BPO: campuses of national and global services companies around Derebail, Kottara, the Mangaluru SEZ near Bajpe and in Udupi-Manipal hire testers for client projects, many of them for Gulf, European and US customers. Third, industry: the New Mangalore Port, the refinery and petrochemical complex and the industrial estates at Baikampady run large ERP, logistics and plant systems. NITK Surathkal, Manipal and dozens of engineering colleges supply a strong graduate pool, and Bengaluru's market is reachable by road, rail or remote work. In such a crowd, a GitHub full of working automation and API tests is what makes a fresher memorable.
Remote and Hybrid QA Roles for Learners in Mangaluru
Remote work has changed the old Mangaluru pattern of moving to Bengaluru after graduation. Many testers now live in Kadri, Udupi or Manipal and work for Bengaluru, Gulf or European teams, travelling only now and then. A live online batch rehearses that life: video stand-ups, troubleshooting on a shared screen, Git reviews and juggling time zones. Remote hiring usually starts with a look at your GitHub, which is where your coursework sits.
Job Roles After This Course
These are the roles our graduates most often take up. All rest on the same testing core; banking-domain roles add an eye for audit trails and data accuracy.
Most coastal graduates begin as manual or automation testers (Software Tester, Manual QA Engineer, Automation Test Engineer). After a few years writing automation, many move up to Senior QA Automation Engineer or SDET; in banking teams, test-lead roles on core-banking programmes are another path.
Software Tester Salary in Mangaluru - Role-wise
Testing pay on the coast usually follows the national bands below; banking-tech, Gulf-client and remote roles tend to pay towards the top, and automation or API depth commands a premium.

Top Hiring Sectors for Software Testers in Mangaluru
Mangaluru learners in our 850+ company network have most often begun QA careers in:
Banking, insurance and NBFC technology: Core banking, deposits, payments and loan systems for banks rooted in coastal Karnataka
IT services in Derebail, Kottara and the SEZ: Delivery centres testing for domestic and overseas clients
Udupi-Manipal tech and healthtech: Hospital, education and software firms around Manipal
Port, refinery and industrial ERP: Logistics, plant and ERP systems at the port and Baikampady
Bengaluru and work-from-home roles: Product and services companies three to four hours away, or hiring remotely
Set your capstone in one of these, the deposits module being the natural choice, and a banking-tech interviewer will engage with it straight away.
How to Become a Software Tester - Step by Step
Banking runs on reconciled ledgers; testing skills, likewise, have to add up in order. Here is the sequence.
Learn testing fundamentals - start with the foundations of how software gets built and checked: life cycles, levels and test types.
Master manual test design - sharpen test design on finance apps you already use, a UPI wallet or your bank's own app, and learn to write Jira defects precise enough for an auditor.
Learn SQL - get fluent enough in SQL to reconcile screen figures against the database yourself.
Pick one programming language - pick Python or Java and stay with it until it feels natural; TypeScript comes with Playwright.
Automate the UI - automate the flows where a bug would cost a depositor money, using Selenium and later Playwright.
Test and automate APIs - try out the APIs manually in Postman ahead of scripting.
Use AI tools responsibly - let AI save you time, but verify everything it suggests, as you would a colleague's calculation.
Build a framework and pipeline - organise automation into page objects under Git, scheduled by Jenkins and reported through Allure.
Publish a portfolio and prepare - make GitHub public, update CV and LinkedIn, and rehearse interviews, in Tulu, Konkani or Kannada with friends first if that helps.
How long: roughly six months, with a few focused hours on most days.
Is Software Testing a Good Career in 2026, with AI?
For testers willing to keep upgrading, yes. AI can already draft test cases and scripts, so roles built only on repetitive manual execution are thinning. Coastal banks and IT firms increasingly hire for judgement: choosing what to test, automating where sensible, verifying APIs and integrations, keeping frameworks maintainable and noticing when an AI answer looks right but is wrong, which in banking can mean a miscalculated payout. People who understand customers, regulations and the product still own quality, which is why manual skill stays at the core here and AI and automation are layered around it.

Live Online vs Classroom - Which Should a Learner in Mangaluru Choose?
Take a Surathkal learner on day shifts at a Baikampady factory. A train to a classroom in Noida is not happening; opening a laptop at home in the evening certainly is. For coastal Karnataka, then, the online batch is the natural choice: it is the same class Noida and Delhi learners attend, questions are welcome mid-lesson, and recordings rescue the nights a shift overruns. Trainers, syllabus, projects, certificate, placement help and fee do not depend on how you attend. Sitting in a classroom only works while you are physically in NCR, and moving between modes when seats allow does not reduce your course.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the duration of the Software Testing course in Mangaluru?
The course spans six months: more than 165 teaching hours across 100+ live classes, in weekday or weekend online groups.
2. What is the fee for the Software Testing course in Mangaluru?
₹17,500 plus GST at 18% comes to ₹20,650. Learners in Mangaluru pay what classroom learners pay, and can opt for six monthly instalments of ₹3,442*.
3. Is there an Uncodemy centre in Mangaluru?
No. Uncodemy's classrooms are only in Noida and Delhi. Learners on the coast are streamed into those same batches, so trainers, syllabus and fee stay unchanged.
4. Can I learn software testing without a coding background?
Yes. Plenty of our coastal learners are commerce or banking graduates with no coding. Testing basics, manual technique, Agile and SQL fill the first four modules, and programming starts from scratch in Module 5.
5. Is manual testing still in demand in 2026?
Manual testing still matters, but banking-tech and IT job ads in Mangaluru and Bengaluru now add automation and API skills. Hence the later modules on Selenium, Playwright, API scripting and AI-supported testing.
6. Should I learn manual testing or automation testing first?
Manual first. A tool repeats exactly the check you design, so learning to design good checks comes before any automation.
7. Which is better to learn: Selenium or Playwright?
Both, 15 hours each. Large banking and services suites frequently run on Selenium WebDriver, while newer product teams often choose Playwright.
8. Does the course include API testing?
Yes. Module 8 (12 hours) teaches Postman and REST, and Module 9 (12 hours) automates API and integration tests with token login. Internet banking, payments and core-banking integrations are API-heavy, so this is especially relevant on the coast.
9. Does the course cover Generative AI in software testing?
Yes. Module 10 (10 hours) shows how Gen AI can propose test cases and fake customers; in Module 11 (12 hours) ChatGPT and Copilot assist while you build and debug automation. Reviewing their output is your job.
10. Will AI replace software testers?
No. AI shifts how testers spend their time rather than removing them. It drafts quickly, but someone still has to understand the customer and the regulation, judge whether a test is meaningful and sign off the release.
11. Is this course ISTQB certified?
No. Uncodemy issues the certificate. The early modules teach much of ISTQB Foundation Level, which banks often value, yet you register for ISTQB's exam yourself.
12. What is the salary of a software tester in Mangaluru?
As a national guide: fresher testers 3-5 LPA, automation test engineers 4-8 LPA, SDETs and quality engineering leads 15-30 LPA. On the coast, your actual package will reflect your abilities, the employer and your experience, and Uncodemy guarantees no figure.
13. Can a fresher or non-IT graduate get a software testing job in Mangaluru?
Yes. Banks, IT campuses and remote employers hiring from coastal Karnataka take QA freshers from both IT and non-IT degrees. Panels usually ask you to test a familiar screen, write SQL, discuss an automation tool and present a project; all of these are practised in the course, and the decision is the employer's.
14. What job roles can I apply for after this course?
On portals, try searches like Software Tester, Manual QA Engineer, Automation Test Engineer, API Test Engineer plus roles naming Selenium or Playwright. Senior automation and SDET roles follow with experience.
15. Are the classes live or recorded?
Live, always, at fixed times with a trainer; every recording is kept for revision.
16. Do you provide placement assistance to learners in Mangaluru?
Yes. Coastal learners receive the same placement help as classroom batches: CV and LinkedIn work, mock rounds, coaching and leads from 850+ partners. A job itself is not guaranteed.
17. Is a free demo class available before I enrol?
Yes. Join a free online demo, see a live class and ask the trainer your questions; two trial classes are also free under the current offer.
18. Can I attend at the Noida or Delhi branch if I visit NCR?
Yes, if a seat is open. Online and classroom follow the same curriculum, so an NCR trip can include a class at Noida or Delhi. Inform your counsellor first.
Student Projects in Software Testing
Projects are modelled on real QA tickets and kept on GitHub, where your trainer reviews each one as a banking-tech lead would: which risks remain untested, would the checks fail if interest were miscalculated, can another tester extend the code, is CI green, and could a newcomer run it from your README?
