Azure 104 Certification: Cost, Exam Details & Preparation Guide
The Azure Administrator Associate certification, based on the AZ-104 exam, is one of the most popular Azure certifications, and understanding its cost and structure helps in planning your preparation.
Exam Cost
- Microsoft sets a standard exam fee for AZ-104, priced in USD and converted for candidates in other countries
- Exam pricing can change over time, so always confirm the current fee on Microsoft's official certification page
- Occasional discount vouchers are available through Microsoft events or learning partners
Exam Details
- Tests skills in managing Azure identities, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks
- Includes case studies, multiple choice, and scenario-based questions
- Requires hands-on familiarity with the Azure Portal, PowerShell, and Azure CLI
Preparation Guide
- Start with the free Microsoft Learn modules aligned to AZ-104 objectives
- Practice hands-on tasks in a free or trial Azure subscription
- Take official practice assessments to check your readiness before booking the exam
Because AZ-104 heavily tests practical administration tasks, spending time actually configuring resources in the Azure Portal is just as important as reading study materials.
