How to use the QR Code Generator

What each QR type does
- Website link: opens the page. We add https:// if you leave it out.
- WhatsApp chat: opens a chat with your number, with an optional message typed in. 10-digit numbers are treated as Indian.
- UPI payment: opens the payer's UPI app with your ID and name, and an amount if you set one. Leave the amount blank to let the payer enter it.
- Wi-Fi login: guests scan it to join without typing the password.
- Plain text: shows your text on the phone.
These are static QR codes: the content sits inside the pattern itself. There is no tracking and no expiry, and we cannot change a code later. If the content changes, make a new one.
Print it so that it scans
Always scan your code with a phone before you print a batch. Keep a dark code on a light background, since many scanners fail on low contrast or inverted colours, and this tool stops you if the contrast is too low. Leave the white border around the code in place, as scanners need it.
Use SVG for posters and banners, as it stays sharp at any size. PNG suits WhatsApp, slides and documents. Choose higher error correction for printed codes that may get scratched. Shorter content makes a simpler code that is easier to scan from far away.
For UPI codes, make a small test payment and confirm the name shown in the app. To add a code to a document, use Image to PDF, or shrink the PNG with the image compressor.

No. The code is made in your browser and your details stay on your device.
Do these QR codes expire?
