Two ways to sign
Draw works with a finger, a stylus or a mouse. It is the closest to your real signature, particularly on a phone or tablet. Turn the phone sideways for more room, sign in one confident motion, and use Undo to remove the last stroke.
Type uses one of three script fonts, and it works with a keyboard alone. It gives a neat result, but it is a styled version of your name, not your actual signature.
Either way, the tool trims the empty space and keeps the background transparent, so you can place the PNG on a white letter or a coloured document without a box around it.
Where you can use it, and where you cannot
A signature image suits offer letter replies, internal forms, invoices, email footers and freelance proposals. Word, Google Docs and most PDF editors let you insert a PNG.
A picture of a signature is not the same as a digital signature certificate. Some legal, tax and government filings need specific methods, so check what the receiving office accepts. Keep the image private, as anyone with the file could paste it. Never place someone else's signature on a document without their permission.
