How to use the Photo & Signature Resizer
- 1. Add your imagePick your photo or signature scan.
- 2. Enter the rulesPick a preset, then edit values to match your notification.
- 3. DownloadGet a JPG inside the size range you set.
Always start from your notification
Upload rules differ by exam, and they can change from one year to the next. The SSC, UPSC and Railway-style presets here are only starting points that fill in sample values. They are not official requirements, and this tool is not connected to any exam body. Read the official notification, then type its width, height and KB limits into the boxes.
Also check details a resizer cannot handle, such as how recent the photo must be, the background colour, whether the name and date must be printed on it, and whether a black-and-white signature is required.
How the tool reaches your KB target
- The image is resized to your exact pixel size, by cropping or with white bars.
- The tool tries JPEG quality levels and keeps the best one that fits under your maximum.
- If the file falls below your minimum, which is common for plain signatures, a harmless comment block is added to the file to reach it. The picture does not change.
If the maximum cannot be reached at that pixel size, you get a clear message with the smallest possible size. Sign in black or blue ink on white paper, and crop tightly before you add the scan.
Need a fresh signature? Use the signature maker, though check that your form accepts a digital one. For a printed photo, use the passport size photo maker. For general use, try the image compressor.
Frequently asked questions
Are the preset values official?
No. They are sample values you can edit. Always use the numbers in your official notification.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Resizing runs in your browser, so your photo and signature stay on your device.
Why was my small signature made bigger in KB?
Some forms set a minimum size. A harmless comment block is added to the file to reach it, and the image itself stays the same.
Is it free?
Yes. We ask for your name and WhatsApp number once at result time. Other Uncodemy tools then open without the form.
