Widgets, sidebars, headers, and footers hold the recurring elements that appear across multiple pages, such as search bars, recent posts, and contact details.

Understanding Widgets and Sidebars

A widget is a small content block, such as a search box, recent posts list, or social media icons.

A sidebar (or widget area) is a designated space, often beside or below content, where you can add one or more widgets via Appearance > Widgets.

Header and Footer Areas

The header typically contains your logo, navigation menu, and sometimes a call-to-action button.

The footer usually holds copyright text, secondary menus, and additional widget areas depending on your theme.

Once your layout areas are filled in, the next step is making sure your branding, logo, fonts, and colors feel consistent throughout.
