Configuring Filters

What is a Filter?

A Filter is a saved search (typically built from JQL or the Basic Search form) that can be reused, shared with the team, and used to power boards, dashboards, and reports.

Creating a Filter

  • Run a search using Basic Search or JQL.
  • Click "Save as" and give the filter a descriptive name.
  • Choose whether to keep it private or share it with a project, team, or the whole organization.

Common Filters for Testers

Examples include "My Open Bugs," "High Priority Issues Not Yet Assigned," or "Bugs Ready for Retest"—each giving a focused, always-current view of relevant work.
