Event 5: Sprint Retrospective

Purpose

The Retrospective is the final event of the Sprint, dedicated entirely to inspecting how the team worked together—people, relationships, process, and tools—and planning improvements for the next Sprint.

Typical Questions

  • What went well during this Sprint that we should keep doing?
  • What did not go well, and why?
  • What concrete changes should we try in the next Sprint?

Outcome

The team identifies actionable improvements and, ideally, adds one or two of them directly into the next Sprint Backlog so continuous improvement actually happens rather than just being discussed.
