Transitions and Screens
What is a Transition?
A transition is the action that moves an issue from one status to another within its workflow—for example, clicking "Start Progress" transitions an issue from To Do to In Progress.
Transition Screens
A transition can be configured to show a "screen"—a form requiring specific fields to be filled in before the transition completes. For example, resolving a bug might require selecting a "Resolution" field.
Why This Matters
Transition screens enforce data quality at exactly the right moment—ensuring, for instance, that a tester cannot mark a bug "Verified" without recording which build it was verified in.
