Creating an Issue

Steps to Create an Issue

  • Click the "Create" button, usually found in the top navigation bar.
  • Select the Project and Issue Type (Bug, Task, Story, etc.).
  • Enter a clear Summary describing the issue in one line.
  • Fill in the Description with details—steps to reproduce for a bug, or acceptance criteria for a story.
  • Set Priority, Assignee, and any relevant labels or components.
  • Attach screenshots, logs, or files if relevant, then submit.

Good Practices for Testers

A well-written bug report includes clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, environment details, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or logs—this saves significant back-and-forth with developers.
